In a world gripped by chaos where darkenss plagues every corner of the city, safety is a commodity almost nobody can afford. Let us have a deeper and better look at the main location and place that you would investigate on.
Twin Lakes
Twin Lakes is just like any other average American city – mean streets, twenty-four hour diners all around, transdimensional doorways to lead to unknown locations… wait, no. No, that last thing is not exactly right. It is, in fact, very far from right. But it is kind of common in Twin Lakes.
Something is quite wrong in the city; an evil of some sort exists here, overlapped but out of sync with the world as we now know it. A strange place that should not actually exist, but sadly it does. A dark and morbid place that stays unwritten about in the papers, full of strange things that are yet to be judged in the courts. A place that Lonely Planet simply described as “Indescribable.”
When flesh-hungry tentacles arise from the sewers to grab a snack, when the moon shines extraordinarily red, and when one sock of a pair goes missing from the dryer, you can absolutely bet that somehow the Darkside is involved with this…
Now let us introduce more about the Darkside Division and how it functions.
The Darkside Division
You might be asking yourself how does a city manage to operate properly when the forces of evil are active all around every corner and in each coffee shop (hogging the nice window seats and bathroom stalls right when you actually need them the most). Well, ignorance is bliss as they say and the people of Twin Lakes are pretty blissful to be more specific and put it mildly. Most do not even believe that anything strange is going-on around the city.
But thanks to more aware people like Police Chief Scully and Detective McQueen there are at least a few precautions against the forces of darkness – occult items of any sort are banned, vampires are on a no-fly list and there is the Darkside Division, a two-man operation that is responsible for enforcing some of the more esoteric rules in Twin Lakes and investigates the strange events that happen across the city.
McQueen and his trusty sidekick Officer Dooley are actually, for better or worse, the first and last line of defense against the things that go fumble in the dark (things that fumble during the day are under the jurisdiction of another department).
The Darkside Division steam key would provide you with lots of mysteries to solve, have at least a few good laughs with the antics of the civil population as well as the main characters. You would go against the paranormal and evil creatures such as tentacle monsters, phantom mobsters, giant dragons, shadowy demons and all other types of creepy beings that all lurk in the city of Twin Lakes and try to manage with their acts of misbehavior as you deem necessary and possibly according to the book of laws.
Investigate all of the unusual cases that the city has to offer and do your best to solve them in order to discontinue the ongoing supernatural disturbances that are happening. Use your wits, intelligence and originality to think of clever ways to relieve the citizens of Twin Lakes city from their terrors.
