This free-roaming squad based RPG focuses mainly on the open-ended sandbox gameplay features rather than a linear progression story. Be what you desire - a trader, a thief, a rebel, a warlord, an adventurer, a farmer, a slave, or simply just food for the cannibals. It all depends on your preferences and the playstyle you prefer.
Forge new equipment and craft the gear you need at local blacksmiths. Purchase and upgrade your own buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start up a business of your own to bring you resources and assets.
Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while at the same time striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh desert lands around. Train your men up from puny victims to master warriors. Carry your wounded squad mates to safety and get them all home alive.
FEATURE LIST:
- Freeform gameplay in a seamless world in the largest single-player RPG world since Daggerfall, stretching at over 870 square digital kilometers. The game would never seek to limit your gameplay or restrict your personal play style.
- Customize and design as many characters as you want and build up a whole squad or even an army to fight in your name Characters will develop and grow stronger with gained experience, not just in their stats but in their appearance as well.
- An original take on the RTS-RPG hybrid games genre. No "hero" characters with artificially stronger stats than everybody else- Every character and NPC you meet is potentially an equal, and has their name, and a life, as well as role in the socium.
- You are not the some sort of chosen one. You're not great and all powerful. You don't have more 'hitpoints' than everyone else. You are not the center of the universe, and you are not special. Unless you put in the really hard work and earn the honor to become glorious. The world would not accept you if you choose to remain mediocre.
- Build a base where you can develop new ways to grow in skill and abilities, upgrade your defenses and craft new and useful gear.
- Purchase and upgrade your own buildings and then use them as safe fortifications when things go wrong, or use them to start up a business and become a key stop in the trade routes.
- A large system for variation and possibilities of gameplay. Be good, be evil, be a businessman, be a thief, live in a town, live in the desert, travel alone, travel with hordes of men beside you, build a fortress, raise a city from the sands. Devote yourself to freeing slaves, or maybe end up a slave yourself.
- A dynamic, ever changing world. Support or hinder whoever you wish, or keep it all to yourself, the world won't stop moving with or without you. This is not just a "game", you are living and surviving in a completely simulated and expansive world.
- Get captured by cannibals and eaten alive, or sold off by slavers and forced to work in the mines. These are not scripted events, just a regular part of this chaotic world that could simply ruin your life by chance. Anything can happen, yet anything can be overcome if you have the necessary strength and willpower.
- Absolutely no Level-scaling. The world does not level up along with you, and the shops don't change their inventory to only items matching your level. At the start of the game almost everyone might be stronger than you, and survival would often be a struggle. The game will not hold your hand or help you when you are down in the gutters or begging on the streets for mercy.
- Realistic medical system that affects the gameplay. A character with a wounded leg is going to limp or crawl and slow the party down, wounded arms means you must use your sword one-handed or not at all. Severe injuries will result in amputees needing prosthetic limb replacements. Blood loss means you can pass out, and the blood will potentially attract dangerous and hungry predators. A character’s stats are affected by equipment, encumbrance, blood loss, injuries and starvation.
- An integrated Intelligent AI that allows for characters to reason and work towards long-term goals and desires. Squads work together and carry their wounded back to safety. Characters can be setup to take care of micromanagement for you and run production in your base as you order them.
- Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh environment.
- Independently developed with no direct design influences, or alterations dictated by men in gray suits who have never played a game ever before in their lives.
- An original game world. There are no fantasy-knock-off clichés. No magic or wonders to save you from reality.
