When Red initially met with Antea, she was a wanderer through Europe trying to study and discover the roots of the Banishers’ ancient art and practices. She immediately fell in love with the good man that is constantly crumbling beneath immense guilt. She managed to banish his ghosts from the past, setting him free to finally recover himself. He on the other hand fell for her as she taught him how to greatly improve on his understanding and deeper perception of ghosts and specters. Having been haunted himself, he swore on to become a Banisher.

Once a mercenary, haunted by the ghosts of those he had murdered in the past, it was Antea’s saving grace that enabled him to find the so desired path towards redemption and eventually their love blossomed. When Antea tragically passed away, Red was faced with a heartbreaking dilemma between his beloved and the vows he had made as a Banisher.
As a much more experienced Banisher, Antea’s was brought up to only rely on herself, which was then further strongly reinforced through her own horrific experiences with great prejudice. She is very independent and resilient to difficulty, so when she gets killed and comes back as a spirit – the very thing she hates the most in the world – she has to rely on Red and his choices. Very much torn between love and death, she does her best to make him swear an oath to help her find a way out of this excruciating situation.
As Banishers, you are going to solve a variety of haunting cases in a mystical world full of ancient secrets and lingering spirits – entities that are trapped in the mystical spaces between life and death. Their inability to progress further to the next planes of existence is of direct consequence from past wrongdoings, bad and evil choices, or simply tragic destinies that need resolve.
