Monthly Recap - March Edition

For the March edition of our news blog post we are focusing on a few different hot pieces of news to present to you. We had some interesting developments during the month and we cannot wait to share them with you, starting with:
The Latest in the World of Nintendo DIRECT!
Just a few days ago we had a major live-stream Nintendo DIRECT event that showcased many of their upcoming headline titles and also gave interesting updates regarding future events and what to expect on the Nintendo Switch console in the coming months.
During the 30-minute long stream we got to see trailers and captivating moments for titles such as DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake, No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES, RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, Shadow Labyrinth, PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY, STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Disney Villains Cursed Café, Witchbrook, The Eternal Life of Goldman, GRADIUS ORIGINS, Rift of the NecroDancer, Tamagotchi Plaza, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Rhythm Paradise Groove, SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered, Monument Valley, Monument Valley 2 and Monument Valley 3, EVERYBODY'S GOLF: Hot Shots, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. It would be difficult to cover all of these in just a single newsletter type blog post, so expect to see more detailed reviews on at least some of them in the coming weeks and months as more details get cleared!
There was also a segment dedicated to the Introduction of Virtual game cards for the Nintendo Switch that would act just like physical game cards but with the difference that they are, well virtual. This move however would allow you to play the game on more than just one Nintendo Switch console, so if you own two pieces of the hardware to be able to use and play your games on both units, pretty neat actually! To do things you would need a one-time local communication between the two units and then you are free to exchange games between them as you see fit.
Connect your console to your Family group to have even more lending abilities and allow other members to experience the fun Nintendo game titles they wish to borrow, but have in mind that you can lend any given game to just one particular person at a time for up to two weeks, after which they would automatically get returned back to your account. The feature is going to become available in the later part of April and would even be supported on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles.
There are even more games coming to Nintendo Switch as well as Nintendo Switch 2, which has an already announced dedicated event for the April 2nd at 14:00 (UK time) in the Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 – 02.04.2025 presentation!
Silent Hill f is Taking Players to The Japanese Roots of the Franchise
During this month’s Silent Transmissions online streaming event we got a lot of information surrounding the upcoming Silent Hill f title by Konami. It gave fans a closer look at some of the environments, design, soundtrack, a brand new trailer and so much more regarding the title, so let’s dive in the foggy world of one of the most beloved survival-horror game franchises ever and see where it would take us this time!
After the grand success of the Silent Hill 2 Remake we got last year, Konami is heading in a bit of a new direction with the popular horror franchise and takes it towards a more traditional 1960s Japanese aesthetic with the concept of “Beauty in the Horror” that is so popular in the region.
Initially, Silent Hill f was first announced all the way back in 2022 and positioned itself as a gaming title that is going to unfold in a terrifying and dark world. However, fans have been a bit worried and curious regarding its connection to the town of Silent Hill? During the presentation it was noted that the entry in the series is going to be a standalone story, but it would still have a lot of nods and hints at the general concept of the franchise.
It was also confirmed that the acclaimed Japanese visual novel writer Ryukisshi07 has been actively working on Silent Hill f since he has vast experience in the genre because of his work on the Higurashi and Umineko series. As for the creature designs, they are made by the artist kera and their vision of the monster types you would have to face up to in-game.
The plot is going to revolve around a young schoolgirl named Shimizu Hinako and her regular daily life, until it all takes a dark twist and she starts to wander in a world full of awful events and encounters. It would include tough battles to survive and strange puzzles to solve in order to progress further into the depths of the foggy and deadly world she finds herself trapped in.
In the music department we have the established maestro of the franchise – Akira Yamaoka, who has worked on most, if not all the Silent Hill projects up to now and his genius contribution to the feel and atmosphere of the games has always been a deciding factor about the immersion and degree of horror players would experience.
Even though there was not a specific release date announced on the Silent Transmissions online stream, it was still confirmed that Silent Hill f is going to get released on various platforms such as the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and we can’t wait to delve into it for a future review, when new information gets transmitted.
The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 remake is coming to rock the summer, including Bam Margera!
Let’s move to something fresher that we are expecting to drop this July - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 by developer Iron Galaxy and published by Activision is coming back to the gaming scene in an up-to-date merged version with even more skaters, new skate parks, special tricks, dynamic music tracks and so much more.
In the recent reveal trailer from earlier this month we got to see some familiar locations with a fresh coat of paint splashed over them in the latest gen graphics and just how many interactable the levels and environments would be. Even though the series has had some more experimental and innovative bumps on the road, the familiar and established formula from the very first entries in the franchise keeps on standing out as the best way to experience the series and has stood the tests of time pretty well.
According to a recent claim made on The Live Club podcast, skating legend Bam Margera is going to be included in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 after all, thanks to Tony Hawk’s personal intervention as he insisted for the skater’s inclusion since he was initially missing from the publically announced skater list, Margera was reportedly added in the last minute and Activision managed to include him in the game.
The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 trailer also revealed more information and details of the digital deluxe edition for the title, which includes a Doom Slayer skater, Revenant skater and more DOOM related items such as different deck boards and Create-A-Skater apparel themed to the hit FPS. As for the Pre-Order bonus you can get a Wireframe Tony Shader skater as well as early access with the Foundry DEMO level and other exclusives.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 (PlayStation 5), PS4 (PlayStation 4), Nintendo Switch, Battle.net, and PC (Steam) on 11th of July 2025, with early access starting three days earlier on July 8th.
Elon Musk is beefing with gamers and devs on X
While Elon Musk is super busy with his projects and companies, he is supposedly still finding time to hone his skills in gaming and manages to effectively lead online battles in multiple titles.
Recently he became the subject of a heated debate whether he is actually playing the titles he mentions to be quite masterful at and many speculate that he could not be the one that has boosted such ranks and stats in games such as Diablo and Path of Exile 2, especially with that many tasks and duties to complete.
What’s much more recent is an ongoing online beef between him, the Assasin’s Creed Shadows maker Ubisoft and former employee at Blizzard Mark Kern that all mocked and ranted at each other on Musk’s platform X, based on the latest developments and campaigns that he took on, one of which is to support the recently released Assassin’s Creed Shadows. There were obvious attacks based on its sales numbers and success, although Kern also got criticized for his inability to yet release a title he tried crowdfund 8 whole years ago. Musk took an active part in the rumble and stood his ground against the trolling that occurred. It seems he is truly a man that fights on many fronts all at once and does not back out from a fight whether that is online or offline.
2025 sure is looking exciting and dynamic and even though it has been just three months we are already getting some incredible hits and updates on so many titles, we are eager to check out what the next quarter of the year has prepared and April would surely bring us interesting things worthy of checking out, until then we are going to keep you in-the-know with upcoming reviews and cool promotions, so stay tuned and until next time.
