It also seems to be quite a bit inspired by the Resident Evil, The Outcast and even the Amnesia games, with a lot of puzzles and even more shooting involved in this first-person horror title. This game was trying to reach the market last year but it actually came to the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X very recently in the third quarter of 2024, on the 19th of September to be exact.

Zoochosis [30.09.2024]
To finish off our list, with millions of views on YouTube since earlier this year Zoochosis by Clapper Heads is actually one of the coolest horror games announced for quite a while coming from an indie developer. Basically, it is a phenomenon that makes animals lose their mind when they are caged, so they begin to mutate. This body cam perspective horror adventure game came out exclusively for the PC just at the end of last month on the 30th of September 2024.
You have to give animals their food and clean their enclosures but the most important thing is to monitor their physical and mental health to make sure they do not get sick or die. The perspective serves as a witness to the events and it is tightly integrated into the game’s story and narrative.
The setting of the game is very different from a regular Zoo though, you would have to move between gloomy enclosures on a special train. The train is equipped with everything necessary for animal care and observation; a trolley with gadgets that would help you collect samples and data from the animals, a veterinary health station with meds to help sick animals recover faster, since your time is quite limited and some animals that do get infected with an unknown parasite that turns cute creatures into dangerous monsters.
